Founding of Czech Dental Chamber

In 1990, a Medical Chamber of Dentists (Lekarska komora stomatologu) was established as a social organisation with voluntary membership. In several months’ time, a majority of dentists joined it, which confirmed their interest in membership of a professional association picking up where Czech dentists’ traditions of association, forcibly interrupted in the past, left off.

The Czech Dental Chamber was constituted pursuant to Czech National Council Act No. 220/1991 on the Czech Medical Chamber, the Czech Dental Chamber, and the Czech Pharmaceutical Chamber, at a convention of delegates held in Prague on 22 September 1991, as a successor to the Medical Chamber of Dentists.
